LOST BOY

The lost boy who had stars in his soul,

He looked to the skies above for an answer,

Prayed for direction,

And all he heard was,

One day, you’ll find your way.
 The spirit of a timelord,

strong and steadfast,

Never cruel or cowardly,

Never giving up and never giving in,

Heading home the long way round,

Dear boy, one day, you’ll find your way home.
 The mind of a madman,

Ever shifting as in blown by the wind,

Travel skyward and hellbound,

Open and liberated,

Searching, always searching,

Only following instinct,

One day,  you’ll find your way.

And he was told the answer lay in his heart,

And he looked to where his heart should have been,

And all that stared back was a hole,

Empty hollow and gapping,

For a thief has stolen his heart,

And made a home in it,

Suddenly he smiled, for the thief slipped her hand into his,

And it… Felt like home.
